Common Questions

About Our Services

What is the difference between janitorial services and commercial cleaning?
Janitorial services refer to the recurring, scheduled cleaning that keeps a facility running day to day, such as restrooms, trash removal, vacuuming, and common areas. Commercial cleaning is the broader category, and at First Service Janitorial it also covers periodic deep-clean work like carpet extraction, floor stripping and refinishing, tile and grout, and window cleaning.
Do I need a long-term contract?
No. First Service Janitorial offers recurring janitorial programs as well as one-time cleaning with no ongoing commitment. Many clients start with a single deep clean and move to a recurring schedule once they have seen the standard of work.
How is pricing determined for commercial cleaning?
Pricing depends on the size of the facility, the type of space, how many days per week service is needed, and the scope of work. Every proposal is itemised so you can see exactly what is included. There are no hidden fees.
Can you clean outside of business hours?
Yes. Most janitorial work is scheduled after hours so it does not disrupt your operations. Day porter coverage is also available for facilities that need attention during the working day.
